Executive Director

Dear Friends:

It is with great pride that I have assumed the role as Executive Director of the Cedars Cancer Institute. Since arriving, my sense of the strength and success of what Cedars has accomplished in 40 years and today, to see what a difference we make at the MUHC has been soundly affirmed. We are blessed with an extremely engaged and committed Board of Directors, Medical Advisory Committee and wonderful staff and group of volunteers that enable Cedars to assist cancer patients and their families. Our members, donors and sponsors are second- to- none and truly exemplify what it means to be philanthropic in raising much-needed funds to purchase the best state-of-the-art diagnostic oncology equipment, funding programs, cancer research, fellowships, education and supporting our CanSupport/Faire Face programme.

I am often asked why one should donate to Cedars, when there are so many worthy and deserving charities? I like to explain that Cedars is a hospital-based charity that is closest to our best doctors, nurses, and healthcare professionals but especially our cancer patients. One’s contribution goes directly to oncology- care here at the MUHC adult and pediatric hospitals in a truly comprehensive way. The donor can then see how Cedars touches so many.

There are many ways that you can make a difference, and because we rely solely on the generosity of our donors, we are committed to making it as easy as possible for our supporters to donate. Cedars long and rich history and legacy built by our founders and dynamic leaders over the last 40 years has now extended into the 21st century. As we partner together to build upon the strong foundation of the Cedars Cancer Institute, we must support ideas and initiatives that will allow us to be recognized for years to come as one of the most important pillars in cancer- care in the greater Montreal area.

Thank you for your continued support.
