If you are looking for practical help during treatment, we provide: reserved parking tags for cancer patients in active treatment
  • reduced-price parking pass information
  • free wigs, caps and turbans
  • lists of local wig and breast prostheses retailers
  • music and relaxation CDs for use during chemotherapy
  • financial assistance through the Wilfred Howick Humanitarian Fund
  • hospitality service in waiting rooms
 
We have reliable information and educational resources for you:  
  • help finding trustworthy information on the internet about cancer, treatments, survivorship, prevention and emotional support
  • lending libraries with support books, DVDs and CDs
  • pamphlets on all cancers
  • public Lectures about cancer by McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) healthcare professionals
  • information on CanSupport, MUHC and community resources
 
We are aware that you may have emotional needs, so we offer: 
  • face-to-face, phone and on-line support from survivors
  • friendly volunteers to keep you company in the hospital
  • support groups for patients and family members

Together with the MUHC Psychosocial Oncology Program

Sharing Strengths Group
