Climb for a Cure

To all my friends, sponsors and supporters of my journey,

First, I wanted to thank you for supporting my 2010 journey up mount Kilimanjaro. Due to your financial encouragement I am so proud to announce that together we were able to raise upwards of $22,000 for the Cedars Breast Clinic of the MUHC. We are all touched in some way by this terrible disease and I am so happy that I am able to help the wonderful work that they do.

This year, I am going to climb to the Base Camp at Mount Everest. My journey is set for October 2011 and my goal this year, with your help and support, is to raise upwards of $28,000, making our total contribution over two years $50,000. This is a large amount that will go a long way to helping all the patients at the Cedars Breast Clinic who are battling this terrible disease.

My trek up these mountains (Kilimanjaro and Everest) really started 4 years ago when my wife Randee was diagnosed with breast cancer. This mountain climbing expedition I am embarking on is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the Doctors, nurses and volunteers at the Royal Victoria Hospital who helped make our process of dealing with Randee’s cancer understandable and manageable.
