Post-event

On Saturday September 30^th, 2006 at the Olympic Basin on Ile Notre Dame, The Cedars Cancer Institute held its 1^st Annual Cedars Dragonboat Fundraiser benefiting the Cedars Breast Clinic of the MUHC. A determined group of 140 paddlers raced 8 dragonboats to symbolize the challenges faced by cancer patients and their families. The weather was outstanding and all the participants, spectators and children too helped Cedars raise over $10,000 (for the Cedars Breast Clinic.

Doctors, nurses, health care professionals joined with patients, volunteers, sponsors and donors in a day of fitness, wellness and fun. It was great to see people of all fitness levels team up paddling together to raise money for a worthy cause.
