Trevor Wieskopf plans on Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro to raise money for the Cedars Cancer Institute in Montreal, Quebec. 

Trevor’s thoughts:

I am a busy Husband and Father and when I am not working at the office or renovating something, I love to play Hockey and Water-ski.   I guess my journey to the Highest Freestanding Peak in the World started 3 years ago when my wife Randee was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. 

People climb for different reasons, whether for recreational or for a cause.  I could not think of a better cause then that which we live with everyday of our lives.  Everybody is touched by Cancer at some time in their lives.  You just never expect it to hit so close to home.

The Cedars Breast Clinic at the MUHC's goal is to provide women of all ages a "one stop" health care and support system during one of the most difficult times of their lives.  The most difficult part for me, through my wife’s battle, was the feeling of being helpless, while she suffered, physically and emotionally.  However with the constant support of Dr. David Fleiszer and his team of Doctors, Nurses and volunteers at the Royal Victoria Hospital, it made the process understandable and manageable. 

I am very privileged to partner with the Cedars Cancer Institute, who organizes several events a year to bring awareness to the variety of causes that effect men and women equally.  This is my chance to help those who aren't able to be as lucky, to take this journey, while raising money for a cause which I am passionate about.  My goal is $20,000 in sponsorships.  100% of all donations will go directly to the work done by the Cedar Cancer Institute.  With every donation given directly through the link herein, you will receive a tax receipt for your full amount.
