Description of the activity:
Polo for Cedars features two exhibition polo matches at Polo Parc Farms in Hudson/Sainte-Marthe Quebec (about 45 minutes from downtown Montreal).
 
The event starts at noon with a champagne reception and lunch with wine, beer and soft drinks at tented tables catered by one of Montreal’s fine caterers. Two polo games with amateur players from the Montreal and Ottawa area as well as professional players from Argentina and the United States who have played in the US and Europe will entertain the guests with some of the fastest, most exciting polo that can be seen in Canada. Guests are invited to "stomp divots" on the polo field between games. Guests receive gift bags and are welcome to participate in the raffle, a silent auction and a live auction. The afternoon ends around 4:00 pm.

VARIETY SHOW

Variety Show with an all-star lineup of fabulous performers of all sorts (singers, dancers, comedians, actors & actresses) for everyone and anyone to enjoy.  This show will pay tribute to all those battling cancer.  It will be a time to gather together in laughter and have fun as we celebrate the life and courage of our family and friends and how much they mean to us as they continue their battle against this dreadful disease.

WORKSHOPS, SEMINARS & ACTIVITIES
Inspired by her mother's diagnosis of Colon cancer, and the treatment received from the Cedars CanSupport professionals and volunteers, Christyna Guerard decided to start a fundraiser in honor of her mother.  The Sweetest Thing Fundraiser expands upon the services/programs, which are offered at Cedars CanSupport at the McGill University Health Centre.  Aimed directly to those battling cancer, the event's mission is to show these patients that they are still the Sweetest Things; cancer or no cancer, they deserve a day/event centered around them.  The day will feature the following activities:

HAIR: How to style, do's and don'ts depending on the type of cancer and a full consultation with a professional
MAKEUP:  How to apply, what products to use and a full consultation with a professional
PHOTOGRAPHY: After hair & make-up are in place have a professional photograph them
YOGA:  Attend yoga classes made for relaxation and general health.  Not Strenuous
DANCE:  Attend a dance class meant for for fun and letting go of inhibitions.  Not Strenuous
LIVE ART:  Attend & view live art being created in dedication of all who fight cancer
FEEL GOOD SEMINARS:  Hosted by renown Montreal photographer, Andrea Hausmann, a seminar on how to feel good and bring out your inner feminity...Yes men are welcomed too!
SUPPORT LUNCHEON:  Attend a lucheon at a beautiful Montreal restaurant with fellow cancer patients and survivors.

Description of the activity:

Splash & Dash is a wonderful chance to support an important cause during a fun-filled day of friendly competition.  Families, schools and companies are invited to enter teams in a variety of run-swim-run relay races.  The Family Fun Expo runs all day, providing fun activities, games and prizes for participants and spectators of all ages.

The Splash & Dash event has raised over $1 million dollars which directly supports Sarah's Floor, the Hematology/Oncology Division at the Children's. 

Your participation and donations dramatically improve the caring and healing environment for young cancer patients.
