41st Annual Cedars Golf Classic
a collaboration of the Cedars Cancer Foundation
with the Montreal General Hospital Foundation raises $550,000
Montreal, QC. - With 240 golfers and dozens more participants, the Cedars Cancer Foundation and the Montreal General Hospital Foundation celebrated another successful edition of the Cedars Golf Classic by raising $550,000 on Monday, June 17.
“We feel fortunate to be able to make this large contribution to the Cedars Cancer Center,” said Demo Trifonopoulos, Cedars Cancer Foundation board member and Co-chair of the Cedars Golf Classic. "The generosity of our guests is absolutely amazing. The support of all of our sponsors, participants as well as the dedication of all our volunteers is what makes this event such a success."
This event supports the Cedars Cancer Center Priority Needs as well as the Montreal General Hospital’s priority needs in Surgical Oncology. The funds will serve to fulfill top priorities in patient care, research and education across the continuum of life, from pediatric, adolescent and adult care to survivorship, supportive and palliative care.
“It has been a privilege to once again be part of this very special event,” said Kim Anderson, Montreal General Hospital Foundation board member and Co-Chair of the Cedars Golf Classic.“ The Annual Cedars Golf Classic brings a whole community together to support, ease the suffering of cancer patients and their families and provide them with the highest level of health care.”
Not only were the participants able to golf on the beautiful courses of the Royal Montreal Golf Club, but they also enjoyed an all-inclusive day full of food, drinks, awards, and auctions.
Thank you to our event co-chairs Demo Trifonopoulos, Paul Sawaya, Andrew Carter, Dominic Costantini and Kim Anderson as well as to our sponsors, donors, participants and volunteers. Their contributions are instrumental in making this event a success.
