39th Annual Cedars Golf Classic Raises over $390,000 for the Cedars Cancer Centre
The Cedars Cancer Foundation hosted the 39th Annual Cedars Golf Classic on Monday, June 19 and once again sold out both courses at The Royal Montreal Golf Club. The event raised over $390,000 and participants enjoyed an all-inclusive day full of golf, food, drinks, awards, and auctions. Over 220 golfers, sponsor, participants and 50 volunteers joined together to throw another successful 39th Annual Cedars Golf Classic.
“We are truly blessed. The generosity of our guests is absolutely amazing. The support of all of our sponsors, participants and the dedication of all our volunteers is what makes this event such a success,” said Bruno Ciolfi, Co-chair of the Cedars Golf Classic. “We feel fortunate to be able to make this large contribution to the Cedars Cancer Care Mission.”
Thank you to our event co chairs, sponsors, donors, participants and volunteers who were instrumental in helping us “Go Beyond”.
What does it mean to Go Beyond? It means doing everything in our power to offer hope to cancer patients and their families; help healthcare professionals in their practice; encourage new knowledge; and to not only dream of novel treatments and cures, but also provide the sustained investment that is required to make these dreams a reality.
Cedars also wishes to thank keynote speaker, Susan Doherty, for delivering such a strong and touching message of hope soon after the one-year anniversary of her stem cell transplant. Susan was diagnosed 2 years ago with HLH, Hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis, a life-threatening immunodeficiency.
“We are hoping to host an even bigger and better event next year when we will be celebrating Cedar’s 40th Annual Golf Classic” concluded Bruno Ciolfi.
