Stépahne Tétrault performance at the Cedars Cancer Centre
On the afternoon of Wednesday, November 8th, patients at the Cedars Cancer Center were treated to a memorable mini concert by star Montreal cellist, Stépahne Tétrault, a preview performance for the November 19th, Symphony for ‘The Bell’ in support of ‘The Bell’ Fund. Tétrault began his visit to the cancer center with a tour from volunteer Heather Faith who gave him the lay of the land and an understanding of the multidimensional role that the center plays in the lives of cancer patients. Tétrault played two pieces on the 1707 "Countess of Stainlein, Ex-Paganini" Stradivarius cello, which is on generous loan by Mme Jacqueline Desmarais and garnered a sizeable crowd of volunteers, patients and doctors alike. The Cedars Cancer Foundation is incredibly grateful to Stéphane Tétrault for taking time out of his busy schedule to brighten the day of all those who were lucky enough to get to hear him play.
