GO BEYOND...

Breakthroughs, discoveries, and advancements happen when courageous people go beyond the day-to-day and strive to make a difference. The people of Cedars do this every day. And have been for 50 years.

Going beyond means pushing past our limits to improve the lives of our patients and their families. It means taking an idea and making it happen.

Our unique supportive care centre will complement and strengthen our position as a leader in cancer care by reducing symptoms, improving function, and meeting the psychosocial needs of patients as they move from diagnosis to treatment, survivorship and at times bereavement.

Help us go beyond and raise the much needed funds.

THE EVENING

The evening will be one of the year’s largest and most prestigious events. Eclectic cocktail stations will greet guests as they enter the modern, industrial Arsenal, which will be transformed for the evening. A dinner extravaganza will highlight the individual talents of Montreal’s finest chefs, who will treat guests to a sumptuous four-course meal paired with fine wines. Guests will dance the night away with Paul Chacra and his 1945 Band.

This evening will celebrate and acknowledge sponsors, donors and volunteers who have supported the Foundation throughout our first 50 years.

YOUR DOLLARS AT WORK

Cancer treatment does not end with a hospital discharge!

The opening of the Cedars Cancer Centre at the MUHC marked the beginning of a new era of cancer care, research and education in Montreal and Canada.

The Cedars Oncology Supportive Care Centre will consolidate and improve existing programs and services in one location and will continue to offer a comprehensive program that goes beyond surgery, chemotherapy and radiation therapy. It will be a model for supportive care in North America with programs that go beyond those available in some of the most prestigious cancer centres.

The Cedars Oncology Supportive Care Centre will provide patients who are either living with cancer as a chronic disease or have received treatment and are disease free, access to a variety of programs that focus on their physical, psychological and emotional well-being by enhancing the psychosocial care provided as they move from diagnosis to treatment, survivorship and, at times, bereavement.

Conveniently located within walking distance of the Cedars Cancer Centre, the Supportive Care Centre brings together existing programs and services facilitating patient access and ensuring continuity of care among the various multi-disciplinary teams that follow these patients and their families.

CEDARS CANCER CENTRE

Cedars Cancer Centre is the hub of all cancer care, research and teaching at the MUHC. It is world-class. It is state of the art. It is a healing environment.

The Cedars Cancer Centre is reinventing the way we provide cancer treatment at the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) from our youngest patients to geriatric care. This centre, which houses cutting edge technology, allows our medical professionals to be pioneers in cancer diagnosis and treatment while providing patients with the highest level of care and support under one roof, conceived and designed around the patient.

With this new facility, we are determined to remain leaders in improving quality, effectiveness and efficiency across the continuum of cancer care.
