NDG Daycare Lemonade Stand and Bake Sale Raises $350 for Sarah’s Fund for Cedars
Funds raised will benefit Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at the Montreal Children’s Hospital
Children and staff at Garderie K.I.D.S in NDG worked together to raise funds for Sarah’s Fund for Cedars on August 3.
By selling lemonade, iced tea and delicious baked goods (all homemade by the children, of course) the daycare raised $350 in just a few hours.
Funds raised will benefit the pediatric Hematology/Oncology division of the Montreal Children’s Hospital, known as “Sarah’s Floor.”
Cedars would like to thank the children and staff who took part and helped raise funds for this important cause. Special thanks to garderie K.I.D.S director Fallon Renner for organizing this event.

Sarah’s Fund for Cedars
Sarah’s Fund for Cedars was founded in 2001 and has since raised over $9 million. It was created as a tribute to Sarah Cook, an 8-year-old undergoing treatment for Ewing’s Sarcoma at the Montreal Children’s Hospital. Family and friends were inspired by Sarah’s determination to help ease the treatment for the other children on the floor by raising funds to buy new pillows. Sarah’s Fund for Cedars was formed in support of the efforts of the professionals who make a positive difference in the lives of hundreds of children and their families every year and to address the pressing needs of the in-patient Hematology/Oncology division at the Children’s Hospital of the MUHC.
