2023 Color Run for the Cure

Villa maria 2

On the beautiful afternoon of Friday, May 26th, Villa Maria College’s Breast Cancer Committee hosted their annual Colour Run for the Cure event as well as a head shaving challenge with the aim of raising money for breast cancer research. It was a truly remarkable day, filled with joy and excitement as the students engaged in a vibrant and colorful powder fight. This event not only generates funds for a worthy cause, but it also fosters a sense of unity, support, and awareness within the Montreal Community. The involvement of students demonstrates their commitment to social responsibility and highlights the importance of empowering young individuals to become agents of change.

The Cedars Cancer Foundation is so incredibly grateful for Ms. Marlene Lallo and Villa Maria’s Breast Cancer Committee for their dedicated efforts in raising more than $26,000 towards Dr. David Fleiszer’s breast cancer fund at the Cedars Cancer Foundation. Dr. Fleiszer, a surgical oncologist, Associate Professor of Surgery at McGill University, Director of the MUHC Patient Education office, and former Co-Director of the Cedars Breast Center at the McGill University Health Centre, is extremely appreciative for these vital fundraising initiatives. Once again, we extend a heartfelt thank you to Villa Maria’s Breast Cancer Committee for their support over the years. Your efforts have truly made a substantial impact and brought about meaningful change.
