2025 Gwen and Tom Nacos Visiting Professor in Supportive and Palliative Care
From May 20 to 22, Cedars had the pleasure of hosting the 2025 Dr. Carolyn Freeman Visiting Professor in Radiation Oncology: Mark Gaze, MD, FRCP, FRCR. Dr. Gaze’s lectures about the implementation of proton therapy in the UK and the management of neuroblastoma, and the insights he shared into the clinical, logistical, and policy dimensions of proton therapy, had a tremendous impact on the healthcare professionals and academics who were in attendance. Dr. Gaze’s visit not only honoured the career of Dr. Carolyn Freeman, but also reinforced Cedars’ commitment to advancing excellence in radiation oncology and supporting academic enrichment at the MUHC. Cedars is grateful to Dr. Freeman and the the Division of Radiation Oncology for supporting this visiting professorship and for their leadership in the field of radiation oncology.
