2026 Cedars CanSupport Public Lecture: Supportive and Palliative care

There was a great turn-out for our June 8th public lecture about supportive and palliative care. We extend a very special thank-you to our keynote speaker (and 2026 Gwen and Tom Nacos Visiting Professor in Supportive and Palliative Care), Dr. Areej El-Jawahri, who explained how technology can provide additional support to patients and caregivers through serious illness. We are also grateful to our other speakers for their insightful presentations: Dr. Justin Sanders (Director of the MUHC Division of Supportive and Palliative Care); Anna Burgos (Co-Director of Cedars CanSupport); and Diana Bruno (Cedars Cancer Centre patient).
