Honoring the Legacy of Dr. Kris Jardon: Tree Planting Ceremony

On the afternoon of Saturday, May 27th 2023, a heartfelt tree planting ceremony was held to honor Dr. Kris Jardon’s remarkable legacy. Dr. Jardon’s impact as a dedicated physician, gifted surgeon, and compassionate individual resonated deeply with the Cedars Cancer Foundation and the medical community as a whole.

The ceremony took placed outside of the Cedars Cancer Centre, located in the McGill University Health Centre. Attendees, including colleagues, friends, and family, gathered to pay tribute to his extraordinary life and contributions. Dr. Jardon’s profound influence will continue to inspire future generations of physicians, reminding them of the importance of compassion, expertise, and dedication in the fight against cancer.

Dr. Jardon’s exceptional surgical skills were complemented by his kindness and empathy. His contributions to the field of cancer were extensive, including his participation in many clinical trials, such as the DOVEEgene study, and the development of the PapSEEK Test. Furthermore, he dedicated himself to training numerous residents and fellows, ensuring the next generation of physicians received invaluable expertise in gynecologic oncology. His passion for improving cancer prevention and outcomes extended beyond his clinical work, as he actively participated in the annual fundraising event, the Cedars Run for Ovarian Cancer, and competed with his colleagues in the Montreal Esprit Triathlon to raise funds for the Cedars Cancer Centre.
