About WR 104

Samuel Finn is back to raise funds for Sarcoma Research by beating a new Guinness World Record – to achieve 1000 burpees in one hour!

In 2019, I achieved 5234 burpees in 12 hours and conquered my first world record. This time I plan to complete 1000 burpees in just one hour.

There are two reasons why I have taken on this challenge. Firstly, to raise funds for the Cedars Cancer Foundation and secondly, to honour the courage of my brother Ced, who passed away in 2017 from soft tissue sarcoma.

I chose burpees for this feat because they are very challenging and not at all pleasant. I want to prove that we are all capable of much more than we think. Compared to my last world record, this one feels much more daunting. The fitness component is considerably more important for the 1-hour record and will have my body in extreme discomfort all the while not being able to slow down.
