Cedars SarcomaResearch and Care Fund

Dear Friends,

I am writing to you today because you recently visited the Sarcoma Clinic of the McGill University Health Centre.

As you may have noticed, our team is working hard to improve the care you receive and your quality of life.

This year, we supported the development and implementation of the OPAL application for you. The app will allow you to access your appointments and test results in real time. We have also published a guide for soft tissue sarcoma patients and their families. Click here to find out more about it.

This month we are inaugurating our new website, www.mcgillsarcoma.com/sarcoma-hub/, made possible by the Olivier Vourantonis Fund dedicated to raising awareness of these cancers. We invite you to consult it to learn more about our team, our activities, and the treatments we offer, or simply to communicate with us.

We are also working to develop research and education on musculoskeletal tumours. Our collaborator in fundamental sciences, Dr. Livia Garzia, has been recognized for the quality of her work and is the recipient of an important grant from the Fond de recherche en Santé du Québec (FRSQ). In addition, thanks to the many donors who responded to our Presti-Lefebvre fundraiser last year, we will be able to recruit a second full-time fundamental researcher and thus push our research even further.

These achievements would not have been possible without the generosity of donors who, like you, want to push further the fight against sarcoma. And today, I ask you to kindly join them by making a donation to the Cedars Cancer Foundation.

I know that with the COVID-19 pandemic, your situation may be difficult. Nevertheless, I am appealing to your generosity because sarcoma continues to strike. Whatever the amount, your donation will truly make a difference. It will help improve the care available to you and help us maintain our leadership position in Quebec.

Thank you in advance for your support.
