10th Annual Carol for a Cure in memory of Rochelle Barr
15 December 2019
Time of the event:
12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Description of the activity:
Spread some holiday cheer this season with Team RockStarr’s Carol for a Cure!
Now in its tenth year, the event encourages the community to support breast cancer research by singing holiday tunes in front of National Foods on Sherbrooke Street.
The event was founded in honor of Rochelle Barr who was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer in 2009. Over the course of her treatment, Rochelle’s family and friends supported her passion to advance scientific breakthroughs and care at Cedars Cancer Centre by motivating the community to both embrace the holiday spirit and give back.
With more than $175,000 donated to date, please join us to raise significant funds in honor of the event’s milestone tenth year.
In 2016, Rochelle passed away from metastatic breast cancer. Known for her creativity, energy and generous spirit, the event remains a true testament to Rochelle’s drive to help others impacted by breast cancer.
Please join us for the 10th Annual Carol for A Cure for an afternoon of holiday carolling honoring the memory of the Rochelle Barr, in celebration, remembrance, and support of breast cancer fighters everywhere.
Team RockStarr is dedicated to supporting the Cedars Breast Cancer Program which continues to lead the way in the development of new ways of helping all breast cancer patients at the MUHC and throughout the Rossy Cancer Network.
