21 May 2025 2025 Gwen and Tom Nacos Visiting Professor in Supportive and Palliative Care On May 20 and 21, 2025, we proudly hosted the 3rd Gwen and Tom Nacos Visiting Professor in Supportive and Palliative Care: Camilla Zimmermann, MD, PhD, FRCPC. Dr. Zimmermann is a Professor of supportive and palliative care at the University of Toronto.
10 April 2025 35th Dr. Edward J. Tabah Visiting Professor in Surgical Oncology On April 9 and 10, 2025, Cedars proudly hosted the 35th Dr. Edward J. Tabah Visiting Professor in Surgical Oncology: Armando E. Giuliano, MD, FASC, FRCSEd, FSSO. Based in Los Angeles, California, Dr. Giuliano is the Regional Medical Director of Cedars-Sinai Cancer’s Breast Oncology Program and the Linda and Jim Lippman Chair in Surgical Oncology.
3 April 2025 Thank you to our oncology nursing team! On April 1, to mark National Oncology Nursing Day, the Cedars CanSupport team served pizza to the oncology nursing team to thank them for the exceptional care they provide to our patients every day at the Cedars Cancer Centre. The pizza was provided by one of our generous donors.
28 March 2025 2025 Dr. N. Blair Whittemore Visiting Professor of Sarah’s Fund for Cedars in Pediatric Hematology-Oncology On March 25 and 26, Cedars proudly hosted the 2025 Dr. N. Blair Whittemore Visiting Professor of Sarah’s Fund for Cedars in Pediatric Hematology-Oncology: Julie R. Park, MD. Dr. Park is a clinical scientist whose research focuses on translating laboratory discoveries to improve the survival of children with Cancer. She is Chair of the Department of Oncology at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. Cedars and Sarah’s Fund are proud to name this important professorship in honour of Dr. N. Blair Whittemore, Associate Professor of Pediatrics at McGill University and a former Director of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at the Montreal Children’s Hospital.
21 March 2025 2025 Florence Flinker Visiting Professor in Colorectal Surgical Oncology On March 19 and 20, Cedars was proud to host the Florence Flinker Visiting Professor in Colorectal Surgical Oncology: Matthew Albert, MD, FACS, FASCRS. Dr. Albert is a member of the elite colon and rectal surgery team at AdventHealth Medical Group, in Orlando, Florida. This visiting professorship was established by Mr. Michael Flinker and Dr. Marcia Gillman and their family, in honour of Michael’s mother, Florence Flinker.
19 March 2025 The Cedars Cancer Foundation mourns the loss of Dominique Dagenais Joly Smith The Board of Directors, leadership team and staff of the Cedars Cancer Foundation extend their sincere condolences to the family of Dominique Dagenais Joly Smith, who died on March 17, 2025, after a courageous ten-year battle with ovarian cancer.

6 October 2024 2024 Stroll & Dash On Sunday, October 6, 2024, families, friends, local celebrities and businesses showed their support by participating in the 23rd edition of Stroll & Dash: the annual signature fundraising event in support of Sarah's Fund for Cedars. In celebration and honour of the young heroes battling with cancer, a record-breaking attendance raised over $260,000 this year.
3 October 2024 Cedars Electric Car Raffle 2024 The Cedars Electric Car Raffle 2024 took place on October 3, 2024, at MINI Brossard. The holder of the winning ticket, number 0548, won a brand-new 2024 MINI Cooper SE 3 Door all-electric car valued at $60,133.
