Covidtrials.ca is the first website in Canada that’s designed as a hub to match patients with COVID-19 clinical trials. It’s an innovation that should help researchers in Canada connect with the participants they need and accelerate their urgent, important work to lead us to a viable treatment or vaccine for this disease.

The world has changed, we are living in isolation within our city, and we are coming to grips with a new reality. At times like these, we need to expand our community, check in regularly with one another, and look at the beauty of life. Inspired by the upcoming Passover and Easter holidays, we wanted to reach out to our Cedars community with a message of hope and an important reminder.

Our Response to COVID-19

We are all in unchartered waters as we join together to stop the spread of COVID-19 and take steps to protect the health of our neighbours as well as ourselves. At the Cedars Cancer Foundation we are particularly concerned that people living with cancer and in active cancer treatment or have previously been treated for cancer, older patients, and people with other serious chronic medical conditions are at heightened risk during this outbreak.

“Renoir en Rose” a gourmet fundraiser!

On January 22nd, top Montreal chefs came together with over 20 partners, and 150 individuals to recreate Renoir en Rose, a unique intimate event at the Sofitel Montreal Golden Mile’s Renoir restaurant.

Tea, cake and music for cancer patients and their families

The cakes are baked by volunteer Linda Chernin Rosenblatt, all two dozen every week, the teacups are china and the music is live. For inpatients being treated for cancer at the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) Glen site and their families, Tea @ 2 on Thursday afternoons is more than tea. It is a diversion, a welcome distraction from the travails of illness.

10th Annual Carol for a Cure in memory of Rochelle Barr

Over 25 Team RockStarr members & supporters rocked as they sang holiday carols in memory of Rochelle Barr. This marks the 10th Annual Carol for a Cure, raising vital funds to benefit the Cedars Breast Cancer Program at the McGill University Health Centre. Thank you to all the jingle bell Rockstarrs.

2019 Cedars Symphony for ‘The Bell’

On the evening of Sunday, November 17, Cedars Symphony for ‘The Bell’ took place at the beautiful St. Andrew and St. Paul Church with I Medici di McGill Orchestra, led by Maestro Giles Auger and renowned cellist Stéphane Tétreault.

Montréal, November 6, 2019 − The third edition of the Montreal General Hospital Foundation’s Soirée en or Gala in collaboration with Cedars Cancer Foundation announced a record $6,5 million to support patient care and advanced research for the treatment of lung, esophageal and stomach cancers through the Division of Thoracic Surgery.
