Andrew J. Lutfy & Family Cedars Oncology Inpatient Unit

May 2nd 2023, the Oncology Inpatient Unit of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) was officially renamed “The Andrew J. Lutfy and Family Cedars Oncology Inpatient Unit”, in honour of Andrew Lutfy and his family, and in recognition of their $3.6 million donation to the Cedars Cancer Foundation (Cedars).

2023 Dinner at Domaine de la Templerie

On Saturday, May 6th, 34 guests turned up at Domaine de la Templerie, to share a delicious meal in good company. It was a most beautiful and fun evening, filled with memorable encounters and lots of laughter! The event raised over $3,100 for Cedars CanSupport and its work with cancer patients, survivors, and caregivers.

2023 Renoir en Rose

Over $77,000 was raised on Thursday, March, 23rd, as Renoir en Rose celebrated its 7th edition to support cancer research, education, and patient care! Founded by Renoir Restaurant executive chef, Olivier Perret, Chef Perret joined forces with Chefs Gregory Faye, Florimond Hannoteau, Alexandre Gosselin, Thierry & Maxime Rouyé, Dany Bolduc, Patrice Demers, and Roland Del Monte to create a memorable evening in support of two foundations very close to Chef Perret and his family.

2022 Spreading Warmth for the Cause

We did it! The scarf sale is over and together, we were able to raise $1450.00 to help Cedars CanSupport in its mission of offering support and comfort to cancer patients, survivors and care givers. From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank everyone who contributed, either by purchasing scarves or buying and donating them back to cancer patients. Your support will go a long way in helping alleviate the experience of living with cancer for many people. Thank you 🙂!

2022 Cedars Run for Ovarian Cancer

Hundreds of walkers and runners, many wearing elaborate team costumes, took to the streets of Town of Mount Royal on Sunday, October 16, for the 7th annual Cedars Run for Ovarian Cancer. The event, which raised over $120,000, is the signature annual fundraiser for the Dagenais Joly-Smith Fund, and all proceeds support the DOvEEgene project, under the leadership of Dr. Lucy Gilbert, Director of Gynecologic Oncology at the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC).

2022 La Roche-Posay’s Ride at La Grande Roue for a good cause

On September 13th, 2022, La Roche-Posay’s Ride at La Grande Roue for a good cause raised over $171,000 for the Program for Women’s cancer Research (PWR): a program launched in 2021 by the Division of Radiation Oncology at the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC). PWR (pronounced “power”) conducts research that will improve cure rates and outcomes for women diagnosed with gynecological and breast cancers.

2022 Sarah's Fund for Cedars Splash and Dash

Hundreds of children and parents took over Danyluk Park in TMR on Sunday, October 2, to run, bike, walk, challenge in support of Sarah’s Fund for Cedars. The 21st edition of Splash & Dash raised over $170,000 for kids being treated for cancer on Sarah’s Floor at the Montreal Children’s Hospital.

MONTRÉAL, September 13, 2022 – The 17th edition of the FL Fuller Landau Cedars CanSupport Dragon Boat Race, which was held on Saturday, September 10, in Lachine, raised over $525,000 and counting for Cedars CanSupport: an organization that provides programs and services that improve the quality of life of cancer patients at the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC).

2022 Tite Frette Campaign Généreuse

My name is Vanessa, and I am a breast cancer survivor. I was diagnosed in January 2017 at the age of 29. As unlucky as I was, I was extremely lucky and grateful to be treated and cared for by Dr. Flieszer, Dr. Bouganim and their teams at the Cedars Cancer Centre at the MUHC. My husband and I had the opportunity to use our passion to raise money through our new store, Tite Frette Brossard, by selling a Mimosa beer brewed for our "Campaign Généreuse" where we accumulated 1$ for each can sold to donate to a foundation of our choice. We also held an event in our store with the Fédération des clubs d'affaires du Quebec where we raised another 250$ to add to our donation. We are honoured to choose to have the total proceeds of 600$ donated to the Cedar's Cancer foundation. These funds will support both Dr. Fleiszer's Clinical Education Fund and Dr. Bouganim's Medical Oncology Research & Care fund. Thank you for being you and for your excellent care! We hope this helps you continue to provide care for others as you did so wondrously for me.
